Abstract The recent ground motion results indicated that the RC buildings are required to be retrofitted by different strengthening techniques. Nowadays, external gain interest since its easy, cost effective and not redesign of buildings. CFRP sheets suitable solution utilized a number researchers. However, numerical cyclic performance connection strengthened with thicknesses need well investigated. This study assessed exterior beam column First, two grades concrete control specimens, normal compressive strength (C20) high (C50) then, specimens (1.2, 2.4, 3.6mm) sheets. stresses damage states showed importance retrofitting. shift plastic hinge zone away from panel zone. Furthermore, demonstrated increase thickness resistance will improved. comparison between hysteresis curves yield ultimate loading were enhanced for both incremental in also them. outputs exhibited stiffness ductility has increased indicating comprehensively overcome applied is able resist such type loading.
